Francis Cunningham

A native of Crusheen, Co. Clare, Francis is recognised as one of the finest young exponents of the concertina, with a deep dedication to the Clare musical tradition. A multi All-Ireland concertina champion and sought after tutor, Francis has performed extensively across Europe and the United States. He has also taught at Festivals and workshops including Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, Consairtín, The Feakle Festival, Scoil Éigse, Meitheal and many more.

Derek Hickey

Derek hails from Adare, Co. Limerick. Both his grandfathers played fiddle and his own musical journey began at ten years of age when his uncle left an accordion in the family home. Thereafter, aged 12, he began lessons under Dónal de Barra. In 1995 he joined the legendary Dé Danann and toured with them until 2003. He is widely acknowledged as one of Ireland’s most prominent and influential master accordion players.

Bríd O'Gorman

Bríd is a native of Co. Clare. She grew up in a house where music was an integral part of everyday life. Her musical journey has taken her to numerous Fleadhs and Festivals in Ireland, and all over the world over the last thirty years. She is a primary school teacher and has a passion for passing on her music to young musicians. She launched her first album in 2016 with Eoin O’ Neill, ‘Bluebells are Blooming’ and will release ‘The Idle Road’ this April!

Siobhán Peoples

Siobhán Peoples musical history is a combination of Donegal, through her father Tommy, and Clare through her grandmother Kitty Linnane – the pianist with the original Kilfenora Céilí Band. Discovering the expansive fiddle music of Donegal in her teens, led her to become immersed in the vastly different style and repertoire of the county. She has been a tutor in the University of Limerick for the past 20 years and enjoys teaching all over Ireland and Europe.
